Terms & Conditions

Version 1.0

These Terms & Conditions govern the rental of a self-drive vehicle booked through SelfDrive. By accepting these terms during registration and by confirming a booking, the renter (the user holding the booking) agrees to the following.

1. Accidents

In case of any accident involving the car during the booking duration, only the user holding the booking of that car is responsible for providing the repair amount, or the full car value in case of total loss, as well as any third-party repair or compensation.

2. Damages

In case of any damage to the car during the booking duration, only the user holding the booking of that car is responsible for providing the repair amount and any third-party repair or compensation.

3. Return of the vehicle

The user holding the booking is responsible for returning the car to the owner at the decided location, or from the pickup location, at the end of the booking duration. Otherwise, a charge of ₹300 per hour will apply for the additional time of use.

4. Fuel

The user holding the booking is responsible for fuelling the vehicle during the booking duration and must return the car with the same or more fuel in the tank than at pickup.

5. FASTag & Toll charges

The user holding the booking is responsible for recharging the vehicle's FASTag during the booking duration if the vehicle passes through any auto-deduct toll booth. If any amount is deducted from the FASTag and the user has not recharged it before returning the car, that amount will be deducted from the refundable deposit. As an alternative, the user may pay tolls in cash at the toll booth to avoid FASTag deductions.

6. Challans and fines

The user holding the booking is solely responsible for payment of any traffic challans, fines, penalties, e-challans, or similar dues incurred by the vehicle during the booking duration. If a challan, fine, penalty, or notice relating to the booking duration is issued, received, or discovered after the booking has ended, the same user who held that booking remains fully liable to pay it.

7. Deposit deductions

The car owner may deduct repair expenses from the deposit if any car part is found to be stolen, missing, broken, or otherwise having issues that were not present in the car before the booking. The refundable deposit is returned by the owner at the end of the trip, subject to these deductions.
